Rossetti, the Russian national power dissemination organization, is trying another charging framework dependent on Waves blockchain innovation.

Waves Enterprise, a Russian blockchain unit, said through a blog entry that the test case program remembers 400 families for two Russian authoritative locales.

In the following stage, which is required to begin in mid-2020, the territories of Kaliningrad and Sverdlovsk, which incorporates an aggregate of 5.3 million individuals, will begin utilizing the framework, as per CoinDesk reports.
The next step will be to spread throughout Russia.

The system will access data from electricity meters in people's homes, and store and distribute consumer payments between electricity generating companies and those that manage the electricity grid, according to the announcement.

The entire endeavor is to make reporting on electricity bills more transparent and reduce obligations on unpaid electricity bills for Russian families, which amounted to $ 2.5 million in 2019.

The announcement said that families will be able to know how much electricity they have consumed through the application, by choosing a different tariff, such as night and day, for example.

One of the key factors in choosing Waves Enterprise is that the company is headquartered in Russia, according to Russian Presidential Adviser Sergei Simirikov.

He said in a statement, "We believe that the system should be developed on a special blockchain basis and on the platform of our country that meets our requirements for data protection and encryption."

The pilot project partner is the largest private bank in Russia, Alpha Bank.

In the recent past, Rosseti announced another local blockchain project in cooperation with Gazprombank and the Digital Horizon venture capital fund.
